We are looking for an exceptional Executive Director of Investment and Growth to join our executive team at this pivotal moment in the mobilisation of our new organisation. Housing Plus Group and The Wrekin Housing Group merged in January 2025.

Job Description

Housing Plus Group is at transformation point, following our merger in January 2025. As a leading provider of housing and care services, this customer focused organisation has the resilience to deliver for communities across our region while being a great place for our people to work and develop themselves. This is a truly pivotal moment for our new organisation, that was created following the merger of Housing Plus Group and The Wrekin Housing Group.

We are now looking to recruit to a new role of Executive Director of Investment & Growth to join our newly merged organisation and contribute widely to an ambitious, customer focused Executive Team. This newly created role will lead the delivery of the organisation’s investment and growth programme, providing strategic leadership to teams and individuals in the following business areas: Strategic Asset Management; Development; Regeneration; Building Safety & Compliance; Zero Carbon; and Commercial Services. This is an opportunity to, amongst several other aspects, lead on fulfilling our merger commitments to deliver more for our customers, build more homes, get the very best from our extensive asset portfolio and become a key influencer across our region.

You will be a proven senior leader with substantial experience of leading development, growth or investment teams in comparably large and complex organisations. Due to the breadth of the role, it’s essential that you bring the strategic capability to lead and inspire skilled teams whilst also partnering with a wide range of stakeholders. Your career to date may not have been within the social housing sector, although it’s essential to have substantial experience at a strategic level in a complex, regulated and customer-focused business.

This is a unique and career-enhancing opportunity to join a leading provider of homes which makes a positive difference to our customers’ homes, lives and communities. If you require a confidential conversation, please contact our advising consultants at GatenbySanderson:
